Mila's Speech therapist just came by for the last time. It was very emotional for me. I really love her, Lydia. She was the biggest part of Mila's transformation, there were 4 doctors involved, 20 some Doctors appts, one surgery, but when all was said and done there was WORK to be done. At least once a week for 8 months she has been at our house playing and teaching Mila how to learn to talk.
Last appointment I was in Anchorage making a delivery for my business and Aaron was randomly home from work to meet Lydia for the first time.
Lydia told me today that she saw Mila talking with her dad and how he held her listening to her like she was telling the most important story ever told. She said "you guys are so lucky, Mila is So lucky". She said "I never see dads look at their daughters like that"
Like they are important.
Truth: We are lucky Ducks.
